Today is July 9, 2013, 17th day of our Maritimes travel.
At 6:00 a.m. it was 57°. The sun is making a beautiful appearance
this morning. We are leaving the KOA at Cavendish, PEI at 9:40 a.m.
We
are traveling on Rt 6, crossing Anderson Creek. To the left there are
beds of mussels and oysters. As we have found since being in PEI,
potatoes and more potatoes.
Mile
22.9 - red fox crosses the road - a bag laying on the side of the road. I
guess he was trying to get a meal.
We have crossed the Confederation Bridge and now traveling Rt 104 in Nova Scotia.
At exit 5 in Springhill, we stopped for a 1½ hour visit of the Anne
Murray Centre.
We had lunch at Tim Horton's next door. We had a
good travel day.
Arrived at Scotia Pine Campground at 3:30.
At 6:00 we rushed to Hilden Fire Department for a delicious dinner. We had a great meal and visited with firemen and saw the interior of a fire truck.
Returned to the campground for travel briefing and information on the rafting trip.
Please be safe and have a good night.
