Day 40 -Travel
day to Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland.
To tell the
truth, I was a bit under the weather with a head cold so I slept most of the
way today.
I was able
to get my first picture of a moose on this trip however. They just show up in the strangest places!
Spence says
he did see a momma moose and her baby but since he has no picture to show for
it, can we really believe him?
Terry took
some photos today, of the beautiful scenery along the way, which she kindly shared with me to use in my blog. Thanks, Terry.
When we got into the campground this afternoon, it was a little cool. One side of the sky was bright and sunshiny and on the other side there were dark, threatening clouds looming.
We had a
social, which included a birthday celebration for Bill Hayhurst. Terry presented him with a cupcake and a
birthday card while we all sang a rousing chorus of the happy birthday song.
Linda Norris showed us all her completed knit necklace. She did a beautiful job. I see many beaded, bejeweled gifts in her families futures. Nice job, Linda!
We ran into
town to pick up and pay for our tickets to the Anchors Aweigh performance at the
Anchor Pub, which most of us will be attending tomorrow night, starting at
8:00pm
Another great day on the road.......
